Why Vorro, why Schneck Medical Center, why now

Schneck Medical Center is running MEDITECH Expanse, No PACS vendor disclosed side by side. Every one of those speaks a different dialect of HL7/FHIR/X12 — which means someone on staff is today doing by hand (or not doing at all) what Vorro does automatically: keeping one patient's record consistent everywhere it needs to show up. On top of that, Schneck Medical Center already runs MEDITECH Traverse Exchange + Traverse Consolidated Viewer to try to bridge some of these systems — a sign the integration burden is already visible to their own team, not just to us. CIO Craig Rice publicly said the volume of third-party system integrations during the Expanse go-live was large enough that he advised other CIOs to 'double' their integration budget/timeline — integration complexity, not the EHR itself, was the hardest part of the project.
