Veterans Memorial Hospital is running Epic, Radiology reads provided by Gundersen Health System side by side. Every one of those speaks a different dialect of HL7/FHIR/X12 — which means someone on staff is today doing by hand (or not doing at all) what Vorro does automatically: keeping one patient's record consistent everywhere it needs to show up. On top of that, Veterans Memorial Hospital already runs Epic Care Everywhere confirmed as the cross-facility exchange layer for the 10-hospital 'Community Connect Iowa' cohort to try to bridge some of these systems — a sign the integration burden is already visible to their own team, not just to us.
